The flight will be over the North Atlantic for about 30% of the flight. Special overflight, and landing permits will have to be applied for and given for all the African countries, which will be Senegal, Mali, Togo, Nigeria, and Cameroon. Here is the projected route of flight with the distance for each leg in nautical miles. When flying over the ocean certain survival equipment will have to be carried on board the plane. 1.
